Isn’t telling your mobile phone to fetch a web page for you cool? Better than typing the search command on the small keypads, one would say. You asked for it and Google is ready with it. If rival Yahoo pipped Google for mobile search by launching its OneSearch last month, the big daddy of search is ready to strike back with an even cooler feature. Welcome to the world of Voice Search.

In fact, the recent advances made in speech recognition technologies will soon power voice search for mobile users worldwide. And Google is not alone. Both Yahoo and Micrsoft are working in this direction too. Driving the development is the growing mobile advertising pie: the revenues are forecasted to grow eightfold in next four years to $11.5 billion.
